Peterson Law Group believes that technology can be used to increase efficiency, reduce costs and communicate better with clients. In reliance on this belief, Peterson Law Group has made the following technological investments:
Virtual Law Office - Some clients do not like a full service law firm model and would prefer to create documents themselves using an online or virtual law office. On our virtual law office, registered users (clients) create documents themselves from a list of commonly needed legal papers. Unlike other online providers, each document is reviewed by an attorney for completeness and accuracy. It is then posted to an online, secure server for the client to download. This service is cheaper to use than our traditional law firm model.
Paperless Office System - to save us time from looking for files or dealing with paper, we instead keep all documents on a centralized document server with supporting document management software.
Desktop Faxing and Mailing - to be as efficient as possible, each staffer can fax or e-mail document directly from his or her desk.
E-mail - We have replaced most mailing done from our office by sending documents we receive directly to our clients through e-mail. We also e-mail invoices to clients to "be green" and to allow clients to pay with their credit cards online.
Integrated law practice management software - from calendaring to billing, all of our programs are integrated together to seamlessly share information. All information is also synchronized to our cell phones so that communication flows between our clients and our staff.
E-mail newsletters - the quickest, easiest and least expensive method to communicate changes in the law or firm information to our clients.
E-filing - We are able to file documents electronically with most state and federal courts saving time and being "green" in the process.
